Top Gear

Post by dtaai-maai »

I've just watched series 20 episode 4 of Top Gear, in which the 3 buffoons convert a Ford Transit into a hovervan and cause havoc on the River Avon. How they got permission, I'll never know.

It's childish, laddish and puerile and is the only TV programme on earth that would go to a town called Penistone just so that 3 middle-aged berks could spend half a show saying 'penis'.

Great fun, I urge you to find a download. (Mine was from TheBox.biz)

You can also learn how to convert a car into a block of flats and to sail your car across the Channel to France, not to mention how to blow up a caravan.

We love it! It's pure entertainment, with a bit of car knowledge thrown in. The three of them manage banter superbly (scripted or not), and Richard can take me for a drive in any car at any time...

The caravan race in this weeks TG was the funniest thing I've seen in ages. Haven't laughed so hard since auntie Maple caught her left tit in the mangle ...

TOP GEAR

Post by Terry »

Now - don't misunderstand me - I'm a great fan of Top Gear
People either love or hate Clarkson's schoolboy humour - I love it

But

The bloody BBC always have to overdo the schedules and offer cheap TV by constantly repeating programmes. If today's 'BBC Knowledge' schedules are to be believed then we have the same Top Gear programme being shown for 8 consecutive hours...............as below

I've always wondered if it's the stations like BBC doing this, or TRUE Visions being too cheap to buy more episodes? TRUE has money problems, and not buying new episodes of anything is a way to help that. Look at the HBO movies...over....and over....and over again. Pete

Just throwing this in - no idea if its right or wrong. I often see things like that on TV schedules, but it turns out to be a series of different programmes. 41 moments is a lot to have presented and slotted into just 55 minutes. Are you sure they aren't maybe including 5 best moments in each show, gradually counting down from 41 to 1?

I believe you are right BB - I just found this as an example quoting it as part 1 showing episodes 41-37 so sounds like a fun day watching TG!!
