It appears to be surprisingly a Toyota... 4 cam 32 valve monster from the 90s???? One hairy ride!

I expect identifying this one will be easy. Posted it only because this particular bike is goes on auction Oct 5. It once belonged to Buddy Holly. It will be sold along with other items from the estate of Waylon Jennings, a country music legend. Walyon was part of Buddy's band. He gave up his seat in the airplane to another musician on 'The Day the Music Died' in 1959.

Buddy Holly died in Feb. 1959, so it's a model from the '50s.

As an aside. Ariels are rent-able bikes in Viet Nam to this day

650 Cyclone is the only other 1950's Ariel bike I remember
