TV series worth watching/downloading

The Bridge: Scandinavian (Danish/Swedish) detective series. Just coming to the end of series one and it's absolutely captivating. Mr.VS is definitely in love with the leading lady (Saga) who's a rather unique character and comes out with great one-liners. It has subtitles as it's (obviously) in Danish and Swedish - but don't let that put you off.

Season 1 or 2? Most thought 1 was great. Many gave up on 2 waiting for it to be good.

I rather like 5/6 part complete mini-series, and my sister recommended The Secret. Watched episode one and we're completely hooked. It's set in Northern Ireland possibly in the early 80s (as there aren't mobile phones). It's about a devout Baptist dentist who has an affair with one of the congregation. I think someone is going to end up dead, but I'll say no more, as I know no more...

Got to say that I saw it, but put it on the back burner.

I saw the brilliant 'Stan Lee's Lucky Man' and this came up so close after and I was still in lucky man mode (what guy wouldn't want want that bracelet).

As an actor he is so much himself that I needed a gap between the two series.

James Nesbitt is a superb actor, and he's so intense in his roles you feel that you could easily over-dose. Watched The Missing a while back and felt I needed a break... I've Googled 'Stan Lee's a Lucky Man' and see that there's talk about series two. So series one didn't wrap it up? I'll have to go to detox if I start watching that.

Not here yet, but being advertised on HBO, a series of the movie Westworld by the same name will air sometime this year on HBO. Seems it has a very good cast and looks to be an interesting series. Guessing from the time slots of the adverts it may take the same Sunday night slot that Game of Thrones is currently in after this season of that show ends.
