BBC Wales came up with a fine 8 part missing person drama last month - Keeping Faith. It's also available in Welsh language (not dubbed, actually recorded in Welsh). Really enjoyed it, small town secrets plus serious crime.

Incidentally the director seems to have something of a foot/shoe fetish, based on the lead's (played by Eve Myles) bare feet and kicking off shoes appearing so much. I want to say that the wife noticed it before me, I'm not over-inclined that way. :)

PS - Still Game is now back on screen for it's 8th series. If you like gentle Scottish pensioner antics it's a gem (better than that sounds).

Really looking forward to trying all of these three. The book 'The Alienist' was superb so I may have trouble enjoying the TV version!

123Hulu is good for movies, series (past and present). Filters for genre and country. Can't download but watching online is no problem. I use them a lot.

Humans

I don't know whether this has been mentioned before, but we've just started watching S01 and are hooked. Here's a synopsis from IMDb:
This sci-fi drama series written by Sam Vincent and Jonathan Brackley is based on the Swedish award-winning drama `Real Humans'. The story is set in a parallel universe where technology is highly advanced and lifelike humanoids called Synths are the must-have machines for any household. Joe Hawkins decides to buy a Synth to help out at home, but his wife, Laura, feels uncomfortable around the humanoid. Elsewhere a widower tries to fix his malfunctioning Synth, Odi, who holds some precious memories of his late wife. The all-star cast includes William Hurt, Katherine Parkinson, Colin Morgan, Rebecca Front and Gemma Chan.

Condor

Thriller based on the movie Three Days of the Condor. A secret CIA station in Washington DC is hit. One analyst escapes. As of episode 2 he's running for his life. Story moves right along, with some flashbacks. Entertaining, not great. Nice to see practical (that is non-CGI) special effects and stunts. Fine veteran actors, William Hurt and Mira Sorvino, in supporting roles. The rest are up to the task. Four episodes into the 1st season.

Yellowstone

Owner of a Montana ranch the size of Rhode Island is used to getting his way. New land development and a new Chief on the adjacent reservation challenge that. Entertaining Western and Drama, but not great. Beautiful cinematography. Kevin Costner stars. Didn't recognize anyone else, but they do a fine job. Broad plot points are predictable, but that's true of most Westerns. There is enough 'I haven't seen that before in a Western' to keep it interesting. Two episodes into the 1st season

Recommend eztv.ag and rarbg.is for TV torrents.

D'oh! I though Humans was excellent but forgot to set calendar alerts to check for the next season - or if there was a next season. Now they're well into season 3. Relieved to find both it and season 2 are on Piratebay. Vital Spark, thanks for the unintended reminder.

Set in current times, except Synthetic Humans (Synths) are common as workers. Follows three stories. First is a family and their new Synth, second is an aging man and his aging Synth, third are Synth hackers and black marketeers. The latter provides thriller and crime mystery aspects, the 2 others deal with human emotional attachment to their Synths in a non-sensationalistic way. William Hurt plays the aging man, the others are unknown to me. First episode was promising, second episode sold me.

I have no idea how to do this, and not really interested. But the following has just been on True TV and is well worth watching. That Putin is one sharp operator!

Inside the American Embassy Just three episodes.

I do love these fly-on-the-wall programmes, and this one is pretty interesting. The incumbent American Embassador to the UK is a bloke called Woody Johnson, and the first episode is mainly about him. Hmmmm. I want to use the word twat, but I know that would offend our American readers. Sorry about that, but he is one. The second episode is about people trying to get visas to visit the US after Trump's announcement about restrictions. The third episode has just been released. Definitely worth a watch.

Better Call Saul

Two episodes into its fourth season.

An excellent companion piece is 'Better Call Saul Insiders Podcast'. When they say insiders, they mean INSIDERS. The co-creators are in every podcast. Also present is a mostly changing mix of writers, directors, video editors, and the producer.

Discussion is sometimes at the story arc level, or character development. It's sometimes technical, such the scene they were able to get with a new 5000 ISO camera. Sometimes it's a mix, such as a brief 5 shot sequence at the beginning of a scene that established everything the character needed to tell him, and tell the audience, that after the 4th shot this could go very bad for him, which was confirmed by the 5th shot.
