Re: Caption Competition
Boy, do you see weird things on the underground nowadays. The other day I saw a bloke reading a book! Here, look at this if you don't believe me....

Yes Honey, Dad is doing it again
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

R E S U L T :
I think this week's low entry justifies my decision to make this the last competition for a while. I will put a date in my diary for about 6 months time to see if absence has made the heart, and all that.
Thank you to our guest judge, pharvey, for judging this week's competition. He sends his apologies for being a touch late. This week's top 5:
5th lindosfan1 with "Anyone take the mick out of me and you will end up like him in the corner, my spells work."
4th migrant with "Yes Honey, Dad is doing it again"
3rd Vital Spark with "Boy, do you see weird things on the underground nowadays. The other day I saw a bloke reading a book! Here, look at this if you don't believe me...."
2nd raphoedon with "No honey that is not Tinkerbell that is the tink from hell"
1st place goes to Jimbob with "Brian huddled in the corner telling himself never to take the subway while drugged"
Thank you very much to all who participated. A touch under 7 years is a good period for any thread to run. I've enjoyed administrating it in the main, although it wasn't always convenient.
Jimbob you now hold the champions crown indefinitely. I haven't checked, but I'd guess dtaai maai would have been the overall winner. It doesn't really matter who won and who lost - it was all good fun.
Pharvey, so you are no longer barred from 'valid' captions indefinitely

Re: Caption Competition
It's been 6 months since the Caption Competition withered and died. At the time I said I would give myself a 6 month bring-up to gauge interest, and decide whether it should rise from the ashes.
It's upto you guys - do you want it back or not?

Re: Caption Competition
Give it a go and see what the response is - had a quick look for something suitable and struggled a bit, so by all means replace this with something better?
Good luck
