Bump ... there must be a few wandering the bar area at this time of year, we'd appreciate any updates you can give us to the bar names and locations on the map.

I will try to do my best. :)
The corner of Poolsuk and Selakam, the corner which did not have a bar now has one, Blue Monkeys, it seems well decorated but not many girls hence not many falangs.
The bar opposite Raintree is now called Skys bar.
The bar between Jings and the laundry shop is called My Way, but i think it is up for sale yet again, so it could be called Highway.
At the top of Selakam, Pussycats is up for sale, in between Papayita has a new owner, also French I believe.
Soi Serakam the soi between selakam and Bintabaht has quite a few changes of bar name.
JNB bar and guesthouse is up for sale, on the other side of the road there is a bar named Panama, the lady from Papayita seems to run this place.
Further along on the same side is Atlantis which seems a trendy disco type place, just around the corner on Binta is Atlantis bar which is more quiet.
On the corner the old Tina bar has been refurbed, i forget its new name, the other bars at that end of Binta seem same same.
Viking bar is still standing, just, bit of an eyesore really, especially when sitting at U Turn.
The lower end bars are more or less the same except that Tinas which took over Lucky Lukes has had a big makeover and also taken over Lazy Daze.
Going down Poolsuk, pretty much the same other than O'neills has opened up their frontage and is now called a Sports bar, you will not be able to hear any commentary of the sport because of the live music at London bar.
The bar on the corner opposite Diamond bar is called Skys Bar, and the bar next to it has just re-opened under what name I do not know.
One bit of gossip that I did hear was that El Murphys rent was going to go sky high, it would have made the business unsustainable and they did a deal for the Pizza place opposite, but the owners backed down so Murfs now has 2 premises, maybe the Pizza place would make a good 7/11.

A quick ps:
Just above the fire damaged bars is 'Click bar' this is not a lady bar beer as such, they have a House music night on a Friday where all the trendy types go, you know stand posing with their hand on their hip trying to look cool whilst drinking a bottle of beer.
It looked busy on a Friday but not so other nights. Well furnished though, I have noticed that several bars now have more 'Farang friendly' bar stools not those horrible small round ones, well small for my arse anyway.

Just a thought... Would it not be easier to maintain and update if you create the map using Google maps API?

I haven't been down Bintabaht for a few months but I thought Jimmy and N & G was the same bar ? It was called Jimmy but I thought a sign saying N & G went up in the same bar and the Jimmy sign remained but I could be wrong. Maybe Chris can jump off his Romantic bar stool and confirm one way or another.

Lazy Days has been swallowed up by Tina Bar, they have extended round the corner.

Excellent work guys, I think Havana has not even opened yet, talk about being on the ball. Last night was my first night back and I managed to try 6 of the bars, although I did have more than one in most of em.

We've been out and about verifying/updating the map. The new map will be published soon.

While wandering around the Binthablock area, I had my son with me, and I got him to photograph each bar. OK, we were early, and many bars were not open, or those that were had only a few customers. However, I thought it would be nice to put images to bar names. The Binthablock area is basically split into 10 areas:

- Soi 65
- Karaoke Area
- Soi Kanjanomai
- Nares Damri Alley
- Soi Binthabat
- Poon Suk Road
- Petchkasem Road (it's what Google Maps calls it)
- Soi Selakem
- Soi Bumrungrad (as advised on Songkran Photo Report thread)
- Damnoen Kasem Alley

I will start with bars in:

Soi 65

Photos of all bars in the above 3 areas can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 718&type=1
