Nightlife scene

Post by Fastfredy »

Hi All, Its been a year since my last Hua Hin tour of duty and I will be there next week. Could you regulars fill me in with a bit of info like bar closing times, hot girly bars with good music, bar fines, where to go after the standard bars close? Is the Hilton disco still going and entry fee? Thanks heaps.

The bars cloce at 2.00 am.
Behind the Hilton the party goes on.

Girlie bars ??? I thought that all the bars are like this. :-)
Hardly seen a bar where men are working, apart from the gay bars.
A small bar I like is the Dragon bar at soi 80.
They play nice music, well....... when you tell them to put on nice music.
An other nice bar is Romantic bar in soi Bintabaht.
But actually it depends if it is busy.
At the moment it is in the most bars in general very quiet.
During the day in bintabaht area it is really boring, girls are sleaping in the chairs or doing their nails.
And off curce, watching tv. THey have no interest to try to get you in.
At night they come alive.
In the afternoon I can recomment soi 80.
Go in there from Petchakasem road, and start in the begin with bar crawling {right word??}
At the end of the soi, near Dragon bar is start to be nice later in the evening.
Enjoy and have a great time.

Ow and Lucky luke bar at the corner from Bintabath and Poonsuk road can be nice late in the evening.
A pity that the owner/dj don't finish all the songs.
When there is a nice song playing he cuts it off and start playing an other song.
Apart from that it is a nice place for hanging out.
And you can have a good vieuw on the bar across the road from bintabath where some girls climbing in the pole.
Some are nice to see and other girls give you a great laught !

I agree about Lucky Lukes, the Falang DJ is a big butterfly with the music. You are just getting into the music and video and he changes to something else, usually the Black Eyed Peas,'I gotta feeling' :-)

A man who made half his income from DJing in Southern California once said that 1 out of 20 working DJs is good. The other 19 think they're F'ing brilliant.

hi folks, i'm a new member and this is my first post. i've just got back from a 2 week holiday staying with friends just outside hua hin.i don't know if anybody has been in a bar called tina's, but the girls in there are bone idle. the couple of times i went in there they seemed to spend most of the night sitting in the corner eating noodles. me and my friend had to set the balls up ourselves on the pool table, which in my previous experience is unheard of in a girl bar.

 Imagine that! It's not Nana Plaza around HH. Idleness (and eating noodles a lot) is a common quality found amoungst many BGs. Probably all 'Starfish' types too and I'll leave it at that as we are getting a bit of 'thread creep' here.

That was quite a novel experience for me when I was playing pool with a friend for the first time in Thailand. Was a bit annoying though when I was in a very busy bar in Bangkok playing winner stays on and we were obliged to wait - sometimes several minutes - for the staff to rack the balls after each game.

re Tina Bar - Tina is usually quite good at getting the girls to be pro-active with customers but with the pool tables, if you are playing on your own you are pretty much on your own all over Hua Hin - nothing to do with Tina bar, as such. Generally, you are getting pool for free - unlike in Bangkok, where 20 baht setup per game either to the house or the girl doing the racking is more normal. If you are playing one of the girls, she will normally do that job but of course she is expecting to profit from the effort in one way or another.
