Best months for the bars?

Hi all just had our first trip to HH and loved it. So chilled!
can anybody tell me the good and bad months as we'd like to return. The bars were busy enough for a good atmosphere but not too busy and not full of men ; it was just right. Is it always like this? Many thanks

If it was just right then come again at the same time , I'm guessing that you have been in the last month or so. The so-called "high season" ends shortly after that thing/noun they describe as "Songkran", well at least the hotel prices seem to lower after that anyhow.

Ok, you must be a lady, maybe here with your dude etc. It's late-on in the "high" season.....well, what there is left of it anyhow. Usually the "high" season starts in Mid November, or thereabouts, ends about the end of April, give or take a little on each side.

If you want really quiet/chilled then come in May to August, rainy season, cheaper stuff all round and less people than now or when you came, just rains everyday, usually in the afternoon.

Is it always like this?

No I'm not a lady were a couple of fellas looking for some fun with the ladies .The reason I comment on the amount of men is because in uk if you go to bars it is 90% men all over the ladies with not a nice vibe. In HH it was a very pleasant change and a nice atmosphere. Plenty to go around as one of the swedes commented. We found everybody really friendly and honest (with one exeption) ; I'll post another thread on this for information to others).
My only fear is that when we return it will be full of drunk men as the bars in the uk are ( I'm embarrassed to be English sometimes)

Ah, no worries man, crossed wires etc, see where you're coming from. Yeah, it's nice, isn't it?

That bollox in the UK is garbage, for sure, left it behind myself a long time ago, to be honest.

Enjoy it while you're here, way more conducive and fun than the bar scene in the UK.

Do your stuff in the UK and then emigrate/holiday/visit etc dude when the time is right, can't go wrong, one hundred or four thousand of us Brits can't be wrong.

though there are a few, i think you'll find not ALL the drunken louts in thailand are english

btw, where in the uk are you from?, with 90% men on a night out & a bad vibe, sounds like a place to avoid

Just remember--When you are in the pub in the UK and the drunken louts ask you about Thailand tell them to come---but TO PATTAYA!! they will be right at home there.
If asked about HH tell them that the bars only serve shandy and close at 7pm.

On another forum devoted to 'the night life' I recently saw a question about Hua Hin. I clicked on the thread thinking I'd give a reasonable answer, but reading through the thread, all I saw was, "Forget Hua Hin, go to PATTAYA!" I decided to leave it as it was. (Apologies to any bar owners.)

Yes, I saw that thread too and decided to leave it well alone.

Although difficult, it would be great to keep HH for the more discerning punter. Being English too I just cannot stand the popular bars in the UK and the yobbish behaviour of the drunken louts we seem to nurture.

Get them all to Pattaya, they deserve each other.

thanks guys for all your comments, were from south coast uk, brighton area.
too much testostorone here,too few ladies,too many fellas looking for trouble.I now refuse to go out here and save for my next trip to HH.
Dont worry weve already discussed and agreed to keep it a secret!
