Several, and many more that have girls, but are so low-key in that regard that only the most paranoid and suspicious wife would be bothered about it.
The bar culture in Hua Hin does not demean the girls who work there in the way it happens in other parts of Thailand, and many visiting wives have no qualms about touring the bars with their husbands.
Check out JJ's and the other bars in the courtyard off Poonsuk Rd. There are a few working girls there, but you wouldn't know it to look at them. They have some good live music acts, which are popular with couples visiting the town.
I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I shall be sober and you will still be ugly...
my daughter is 16 - we do not encourage her to drink but include her if we are having a bottle wine or relaxin drink as this encourgaes her to not do it to excess when out with her friends....
Mr Bale please forgive me but you have asked every question under the sun about Hua Hin from beer prices / guiness /pool / soccer / legal drinking age but on the "spiked drink" discussion you state
"been to romantic bar many times and never 1 problem.....except left drunk"
So do you know Hua Hin or not.
By the way do hope you have a good trip with the family

STEVIEBALE wrote:hi, not sure if posted in the right place....what is the legal age for drinking alcohol in thailand?
To buy alcohol you have to be 18. Not sure on the intricate laws on consumption of alcohol that's been purchased on ones behalf by a family member/friend/client/random stranger.
There's a movie, I think named "Goal" about an American Mexican kid who goes to play with Newcastle. In a bar one night with his British mate and asks him "how old do you need to be to drink in England..." The other man looks puzzled for a moment and answers...."11...." Pete

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
I think Moonlight is a very nice decorated bar, usually the music is OK, sometimes the bar can be a bit quiet, IMHO the bar serving area takes up too large a proportion of the inside space.
I think that most Bintabaht bars are spoilt with multi music from adjoining bars, more so at the bottom end.
At the top end, Heaven is a nice bar, but Starfish can spoil that if they have their music cranked up.
