Team England 2016

Post by PeteC »

Allardyce is gone, a given after the revelations of the past few days. Let's see who's next on a permanent basis? Pete

Thinking about this, I wonder if Giggs would be a good fit? There are some stories that he may manage Swansea, but I wonder which job he would prefer and be better at? Pete

You must be having a larf. He's not a manager. All that I've seen him do recently is sit on the bench, expressionless.

England has spoken via BBC poll:

Your England XI: Marcus Rashford to lead the line, but no place for Wayne Rooney

"There is no place for captain Wayne Rooney in England's starting XI, but his 18-year-old Manchester United team-mate Marcus Rashford should start up front, according to BBC users.".....

Such a treat watching England play Scotland at football last night. The first team since before last season's Euros who tried to play football, rather than park the bus.

Of course, the wrong tactics by Strachan, but so nice to see England being allowed to play football. By choosing to play football, the result was inevitable. Even with their hatred of England, the better footballers were always going to win.

Yes, England had their faults, but were probably shocked into those errors by being allowed to play open football. All 3 goals were first class.

For once it was worth getting up at silly o'clock to watch football.
