How did you find Hua Hin Forum?

Post by Bangkokney »

I've been a member on this site for a while now and for most of that time the membership here has been relatively static, however in very recent times membership is growing pretty much on a daily basis :thumb:

Could new users please put my mind at rest and let us know how you found this site ?

Was it via a web search looking for Thailand/HH info ?

Did you find our merry little crowd after seeing one of the posters around HH ?

The new version of this site is head and shoulders above the previous incarnation and should be getting more hits.

The posters are a great idea and should be attracting people to this site.

Both the above improvements were introduced at about the same time as the membership growth ...

LEV : Hope you don't mind me conducting this poll.

Just Curious.

No problem, Its a good idea - Moved it where it will get noticed more.

I would be curious myself. Most of the bars in town have been welcoming with our poster campaign, the site ranks well in Google and our traffic is increasing monthly, now at 10,000 readers per month.

I'd just booked my room in HH for 3 weeks in Sept and wanted to do some research on the entertainment scene as well as see what had changed in the long interval since my last visit and hey presto I found this forum.

In the past I have found these expat forums not only an invaluable source of information but also a great way of keeping up to date with whats going on during enforced absences and keeping in touch with mates.

For me at the moment I'm using this forum for research but hopefully once I'm home again in May, I'll have enough experience to contribute fully to the forum as well as keep my finger on the pulse until I return.

My brother told me about this website, he was searching for hotels in HH. It's funny, though. I've been in the kingdom 16 years, based in Bangkok, and I had absolutely no idea there were so many watering holes around HH. Absolutely loved the Jazz festival :D , and will make sure to catch the complete thing next year.

Most of my previous visits to HH were with the wife, kids, and some of her family members, and we usually stay out of town. The last time I actually stayed in town, the hotel was called the Melia.

Will definitely do a bit of a pub crawl next time I'm up.

Cheers.

I found it by searching google for "hua hin mountain biking" and you were the 5th return listed.

I'm coming to HH in a couple of weeks and wanted info on mountain biking (obviously). I haven't found the info here I was looking for but it's been useful for info on everything else.

regards,
Calum

HH After Dark Web Site

Post by Pagey »

I have been looking for a base in Thailand and came to Hua Hin 3 times in the last 12 months and picked up the HH Observer in the hotel I stayed at.

Can't say I've noticed posters in Bars although usually only go in Romantic Bar down Bintabaht.

Only joined recently because I have now rented a house and need a motorbike and a job for the missus !

I arrive again on Sunday 3rd October and again in December.

Hi,
Just - I mean just rtegistered as I'm arrivin tommorrow for a well earned bit of R&R and a few (well a lot really) glasses of "phew I really needed that!"
I found the website whilst doing a generic search for information about HuaHin.
I must say that this site has been really useful for both general and specific info. I particulalry like the league table for the watering holes :-) Brill

Ace.
Probably CU around during the next 10 days or so ;-D

I have been lurking on the site on and off for a year or so, just registered today. :D
I think I originally found it through another Thai night life website, so I voted reffered
Was in Thailand most of October and HH for about 6 days of that. The first night was a little worrying as it was when the bars were closed for the election (should have kept up with info). :cuss:

All in all very informative, kept seeing your posters every time I went for a piss, so the advertising works :thumb:
