Packing our bags

Post by HansMartin »

Last time I was in HH was Nov. 2005. We've gone down there once a year for the past 3 years and have thought about semi-retiring there.

I've been a member of this forum since Dec. 2005 & post off and on.

So we will arrive in BKK on the 20th; but don't have firm plans for HH. There are family and business issues that will keep us in BKK, but I'm not going to spend all my time up there.

I'm interested in meeting both the permanent expats and semi-permanent expats who have been posting here. I'm interested in:
1. Seeing what it is like to be an expat in HH
2. Truly understanding all the issues about property ownership
3. Finding quality property at a reasonable price that can be acquired at no-risk
4. Finding some good beer and company
5. Finding a bar with a clean restroom.

I'm more tha willing to bribe you with beer to answer these questions. So post a message here or PM me. Hope to meet up you.

If you could be so kind as to relay whatever good info you glean from your discussions, I would love to hear it, as I also plan to retire to Hua Hin a few years from now. Bribe em for me as well, and we'll settle up later!

Add me to the list (of information, and building a tab  ). Should be down there full time in 4 years, and have been there numerous times, but always up to learn more.

Thanks!!
