Hello, anyone any experience of flying MAN - BK via Abudabi. Sorry cant remember the co. It`s recent and cheap.

I flew LHR - BKK via Abu Dabi last year. Not the best place to stop, but OK. Its got all of the usual things to buy, and nothing to do while you wait.

We flew with Ethihad - as you say, very cheap, and as with most Middle East airlines the service was very good.

The best thing was that the wait at Abu Dabi was only about 1 hour each way - just long enough for my wife to re-inflate her lungs with smoke. Spliting the journey is much more preferable to having my wife asking how much longer before she can smoke - gets quite snappy towards the end of a direct flight.

I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Ive been through abu dhabi before, not much there, kinda like dubai but less flashy than dubai i guess. If you have to fly via UAE then dubai would be the better option, it is one of the better cities in the mid east and i have been there a few times and enjoyed the place, a must see is the gold souk if you go that way.

Cheers guys, as a smoker myself it`s good news I can have a fag in Abudabi. For anyone of my unyet corespondants, in my country a "fag" is a ciggarette and a fanny is not just for sitting on!
