I signed up last month but didn't think to post anything until now, so here I am.
I've not been to Hua Hin yet, but am planning on visiting for 2 or 3 weeks, for part of my second LOS trip, this September and this seemed like as good a place as any to gather as much info as possible.
My previous trip to LOS consisted of a couple of days in Bangkok and a couple of weeks in Pattaya. Neither place I particularly want to return to (far too built-up, dirty, and traffic-ridden for my liking), but I'm still determined to find somewhere I'm happy with in Thailand, so after a few weeks jaunting around the north country, with a lady friend I met last trip, I'm hoping to find somewhere relatively laid-back, with a nice beach, and a bowling alley where we can relax for a while, but are still in easy-reach of the usual mod cons. Looking forward to exploring Cha-Am and Pak Nam Pran too.

Welcome to the forum spagbol.
You raise a good question. Is there a bowling alley in the Hua Hin/Cha-Am area? Over to other members for an answer and location. Pete

Re: Hello!
Welcome to the forum spagbol - you'll get a shed load of information from this site on living in Hua Hin and it's surrounding areas.
For the quiet life, stay out of the central area but you'll either need personal transport or be fairly close to the main routes/public transport.... all pretty good in my experience.
[EDIT] Have seen but never actually tried the Bowling BB - how is it?

Thanks for the warm welcome, chaps, and apologies for the delayed response. Very glad to hear there's bowling to be had in Hua Hin! Much appreciated
Re: Hello!
Bowling alley was closed last time I went by it a couple of weeks ago. Dont know if its for alterations or it has closed.
Re: Hello!
Yep, sadly, it appears to have disappeared from the locations listed here: http://www.majorbowlhit.com/branch.php
I'll have to get my fix in Chiang Mai or Udon, before heading south.

And I just found this too: https://www.facebook.com/Bowlingthai-16 ... 5437078809
I suppose, at least, if bowling cannot turn a decent enough profit for it to remain in Hua Hin, this may be a good indicator that it's still a quiet enough town for me to be able to enjoy.
