Having worked in construction around the world, I find Thailand no different, more often than not projects will be late to some degree.
They usually run late due to a) ambitious promises made to secure contracts, b) genuine unforseen delays or c) customer changes to specification.
There's no point getting yourself stressed over it, set yourself up in a nice rented property, budget for a couple of months of extra rent and make sure you get a clause in the contract that says the developer will pay 'x' amount for every week over-run.

Thank you Limey ! Im used to english sense of humor. Even if it can be a bit of a sting. I trust my realestate that it will ready 1 of aug. 2006 . I know that its common it can be delayed but he is paying his workers more then average, to make sure the work will get done in time.

Scorpiolady, it would be interesting to hear why a single Swedish lady has made the move out here on what seems to be a permanent basis. I have known otheres but they are well outnumbered by the men.

Hallo ! Im buing the house because i have allways wanted to have a house in a nice warm country and live there when im old. First I was thinking of Spain but its so expensive there to get something deacent, and living is also expensive. And because I have got some money after my fathers death so I can afford it and dont have to wait untill Im old. My plans are to live there as much as possible,but it depends of lots of things. I have inhereted some land in Finland and its not easy to have to deal with the authoroties, everything takes so long time. And when Im in Huahin I want to start writing books and hopefully get them publiched in Sweden.

I am going for a Bachelor´s in either Finance & Banking or International Business, pretty much the same courses the first years so I´m gonna have to decide now I guess...
The universities that I have applied for are private so it is the same price for all nationalities, ranging from about $5,000 - $9,000 per year in tuition if I got it all right... So it is a bit of cash but far less than what I have to pay here in the U.S as an international student, more than twice what the U.S students pay
Sometimes I think I should have stayed back home and gone to the free ones in Sweden, however when I don´t look at my bank statement it feels sweet doing a bit of travelling!

It does not cost anything to go to university in Sweden except for the books you have to get. Somehow I get the impression that you dont like Sweden or the swedes ! Hope Im wrong.. or maybe you are just old and grumpy!!
