Hi everyone,
My husband and I are moving to Hua Hin at the end of July and would love to meet with people that live there and would gladly receive any suggestions that you may be able to throw our way on what to do and what not to do.
We are planning on staying long term and would love to meet with people that have also recently moved there. We will also be looking for accommodation just south of Hua Hin, so recommendations would be helpful.
Also, we would fly into Bangkok and then train it from there to Hua Hin? Is this the best way or do can you fly in?
Regards,
Trish

There are no flights these days, but there is a great VIP bus service direct from the airport to HH. It costs 305 baht per person and takes about 3.1/2 hours providing there are no traffic delays. Take a look at their link http://www.airporthuahinbus.com/trish120 wrote:Hi everyone,

Alternatively you can get a taxi that will cost 2000-2500 baht - prices and driver safety vary so be warned.

There is one flight with Nok Air as I was on it recently. The VIP bus is also very good.
Re: Hello from Australia
The Nok Air flight is suspended as far as I know, but would be pleased to be proved wrong.

Hi Trish
Welcome. I am relatively new having landed here 6 months ago with my hubby. So being new I have very little advice to offer. The one thing I would do is bring an International Drivers Permit, which we got from RACQ (your state's motoring body) as this makes it heaps easier to get a Thai Drivers Licence.
We are loving Hua Hin and using it as a hub for travel. Perhaps we can catch up.
Cheers
