They need to be rolled into a tight tapered length, quickly inserted and hold a finger on the end while they expand again.

Are you telling the truth here, HHF. You don`t snore that loudly that you wake yourself up do you? :rasta:

HHF

Duck tape ears, mouth and eyes solves the problem :naughty: Take off before eating though

3% is fine but can make the ear a little itchy afterwards. A drop of coconut oil sorts it quickly. Dilute by 50%, to 1.5%, if you are nervous. Have a glass of water ready to flush it out. When the bubbling stops, the HP has finished. If it doesn't get it all on the first attempt, leave it a day then try again.

Always found it easy.
I'd go with that and will tomorrow

I use HP all the time. Cleaning teeth, mouthwash (mixed with Listerine) and as a woundwash

Have also used it successfully for small patches of eczema and clearing the nose/sinus (dilute 50/50 with water, then flush the nose).

There is mixed opinion about using it on wounds with some authorities believing it slows down healing.

I also use HP all the time for a number of things, and even to whiten clothes and etc. Much better than bleach and not as harmful for the environment.

Of course trying to get extended Thai family to use it has proven to be mission impossible..........it can't possibly be better than bleach because it's not advertised on TV. And no, it's not any good for first aid, because you can buy it without spending half the day at a hospital. :tsk:

You don`t snore that loudly that you wake yourself up do you?
If I slept on my back I would... so that's why I'm a side sleeper. I'm very sensitive to noise when I'm sleeping (probably for security reasons) therefore any dog barking, or chicken crowing, or idiot on a loud speaker in a village 2 kilometers away at 5 a.m., or even some jungle birds wake me up... and you wouldn't want to be around me if I don't get my beauty sleep each night! :P :D
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

There are a few mentioned on the first page of this thread. Not sure if they can replace a missing ear though. :duck:

I've been doing a lot of swimming lately, and it has been gradually making me deaf. By this morning I was about 95% deaf. Having read this thread a couple of days ago, Mrs BB and I went off to the ENT place on 55/1.

I checked in - the guy said there would be a 50 minute wait, and maybe I would like to go for coffee somewhere, and come back nearer my appointment time (which we did).

When we got back, it was about 2 minutes before the I was called in. The doctor took one look, and got to work on cleaning my ears. He filled each ear, and vacuumed it about 5 times each - result, I can hear again :D

Cost - as stated earlier, 250 Baht per ear. Excellent value for money.

Earwax, a cautionery tale.
I have suffered from blocked ears for a long time believing it to be earwax, I have tried many over the counter remedies with varying success. Recently it seemed to get worse and my family were fed up with the tv volume up high. I have friend whose friend is an ENT professeur at a local private hospital. He had a good look and diagnosed an ear infection, took a swab which I took to a walk-in laboratory. Two days later the results showed I was suffering from Pseudomonas aeruginosa. I googled it and it seems it could have been more serious than I thought. However it was caught in time and with proper medication it is now cured. So if you blocked ears persist get them checked out.

Thanks Terry, I read about that one on the other thread mentioned above. Now that I know he has the vacuum, that may be my first stop.

I have my girlfriend clean my ears out every few weeks. I lay down in her lap and she gets out a little scoop and cleans me right out. It's very, very relaxing :)

I went to the ENT place on Soi 51/1 today for ear cleaning and was very pleased. This doctor knows what he is doing. Had to wait about 1.5 hours as he was very busy but at the appointment time I was in and out in about 15 min. Charge is still 500 baht for both ears.

I've had reduced hearing on my right ear for years, but never thought it was because of ear wax. after all i do use Q-tips regularly. Today i woke up and my hearing was almost completly gone on that same ear.. I was kind of freakin out, but tried to stay calm.. first i tried with Q-tips to fix it..FAIL.. Now i was 100% deaf.. PANIC time.. looked up solutions online and found a solution where you pour hydrogen peroxide in your ear... Didn't work.. infact it made it worse. it was like adding water to cement.. It was the weirdest thing. You kind of loose the ability to hear in stereo.. i could not for the life of me hear what direction the sounds where coming from. everything was mono :)

Then i finally did something right. I went to THIS forum and found this thread. Went to the ENT guy (had to wait one hour) and he knew what he was doing. He pulled out the biggest brick of Wax i have seen. took him 20 minute before the beast was out. it looked like an old gremlin..... And let me tell you, my hearing has not been this good for 10 years.. i cant even describe it. Orgasmic is just too weak of a word....

Last words from the doctor: Never EVER use Q-tips ;D only water

The price is now 500 baht per ear

PS! Shout out to Big Boy for clarifying the exact location as i am a bit of an idot sometimes :)
