So far so good, my wife has said as she was sitting on the porch that the sparrows headed in and made a U turn back out again.

These are plastic blow up crows btw, that's why they are so cheap. I already strung the entire underside of my carport with mesh to keep the birds from sitting/roosting on the rafters, but they still sit on the cars themselves and crap on them.
This topic has been discussed on here some time ago,i have had these annoying birds nesting on my roof for so long, droppings all over the place....
Well not any more.
Head to Market Village,go downstairs all the way to the new shops, look for the 60 bht cheap shop, called Maysies,up in the left corner you will find plastic black Crows....bought a few, took off the string, replaced with fishing line, strung a few up about my roof area...job done, best 60 bht i have spent.
All the houses here now have them, works a treat.
If this works, I am offering Maccastine an afternoon of all the beer he can drink. Just give me a couple of weeks to determine if indeed it does work and I will consider that a bargain!

What a great idea....take care.

The test may not be conclusive... found a new poop on my car today and a pidgeon sitting on the wall opposite the carport eyeing the cars and fake crows...

Connect a motion sensor to a motorized squawking crow or anything that makes a noise that will disturb the birds.
Home is where you hang your hat

Yes, with two of those crows hanging directly above the two cars, the birds still come and crap on the cars, but it seems not as much as before so maybe the crows only bother certain varieties of birds.

Now that they may be used to them......perhaps jazz them up with some different coloured paint stripes or designs? Wouldn't hurt and be interesting to see if the cycle of fear starts all over again. Pete
