Soi Dog Foundation completes Phuket stray dog sterilisation

Would be good if they target Hua Hin.

There are organizations trying that here including the King himself.

our local soi female dog recently had a litter of 8 for the second time so the neighbours chipped in and got all puppies and mother sterilized, rather than dropping them off at the local temple, some have now being adopted,it cost 800bht per dog,but I think the vet school just south of hua hin past the Tesco express and before banyan does it for free

A drop in the ocean imo. The dog problem here is basically a public health problem they are unwilling to confront...........needs to be a major cull in all cities......with extreme prejudice would be a good idea.

They won't grasp the nettle though, despite children (and others) being bitten and disfigured every day...not to mention the tonnes of dog shit left around all the time.

Will end there, as could go on for pages about this one.....facepalm.

I Know this is totally inappropriate for the intent of this thread, but

"Soi Dogs"

sounds like a terrific name for a Thai rock band being the equivalent to Guns n' Roses or Steel Panther or somethin'

You play drums hh? Maybe here is your chance to get out of the house? :thumb: 8)

While I agree with pretty much every other point you've made I actually think the quantity of shit I see on the streets here is FAR less that I used to see back in England (where you can actually get fined for having your dog crap on the pavement)

It does not surprise me - it's kind of a name looking for a band, a bit like "Viagra" was sad to exist in adverising as a possible brand name, waiting for a product,
