Hi,
my wife loves orchids and has acquired quite a few which adorn
our porch - sitting on the wall in pots or suspended from the ceiling.
However ants keep attacking and eating the blossoms.
She has resorted to putting pots in larger pots filled with water,
but they keep on attacking.
Is there some "pesticide" that keeps the ants away without harming the orchids?

Google: [ants attacking orchids] and you'll get some good answers.
I liked the use of coffee powder mixed with water.
Good luck.

My Thai wife got some 'ant powder' from a shop in HH..the idea is you mix it up with something they like (I used chicken livers)..& the ants take the powder particles back to the nest..coupla days you won't see 'em again.
