Hi, does anyone know where I can but food for an african grey parrot in Hua Hin

there is a couple of good bird food/pet shops along the klong road

one is just up a little soi ,just after the traffic lights ,as you head for pai mai driving range

i think the shops painted pink ,this one hand rears african greys ,

There's also a pet shop in the row of shops outside of Makro.

This made me curious as I thought most kinds of seeds, nuts and fruits is what they eat in the wild. The below link confirms this to a degree. I guess not too difficult to put together a homemade diversified diet from various sources. Pete :cheers:

You're right Pete - a mix can be put together quite easily. But a good proprietary brand food should have additives as well as having the right balance of seeds. Too much fresh fruit isn't good - and they also need a source of calcium.
A piece of cuttlefish bone is good and also provides something to keep their beaks sharp, and the seeds you can buy made into sticks or perch rings contain something like honey/molasses.
A sprout is for life - not just for Christmas.
