Recommended Areas to Purchase a Home

Post by peanut »

I am new to this forum. My wife and I are thinking about buying a home in either Hua Hin or Pattaya. My wife is Thai and we would be purchasing the property under her name. We are interested in about a 280 sqm home with 1/2 rai or better land. Any recommendations on good areas that are on public access or near the city. Thank you in advance for your help.

To be honest Peanut there are so many new areas being built around Hua Hin the only thing i would suggest is coming over here (assuming your not already here) and renting for a few months to get a feel for the place. While your here have a good look around. The most important thing is -TAKE YOUR TIME!

I have emailed you the name of the developers I dealt with, they were fantastic. But I can advertise on the board. Against the rules.

Where is the best place to look for rentals? Condo or small house.

Harry,

Your best bet is to get to Hua Hin, book in to a hotel for a couple of nights and look around. So long as its not peak season, there's always plenty to rent.

Its hard to recommend because your choice might not be mine and vice versa, and you are not quoting a price range.

^ BB,

When is peak season down in HH? I was down there for Englands first WC match & it seemed pleasantly quiet. I guess I'm looking for budget accom. until I become established. :)

Harry,

One of the locals would be best to confirm this, but it tends to get busy from mid-December for 3 to 4 months.
