Property Shop Forgets Small Fry
Property Shop Forgets Small Fry
The following details mine and my wife’s resent experience with an unnamed property company trading in Hua Hin. You can PM me if you wish to know more details.
I know this will not go down too well with some readers on HHAD and definitely not with the staff at the property company. But HHAD is a forum for passing on information, good or bad and as this company has had some good press on this site so I thought I would divulge my recent experience. I would also like to point out before a price is put on my head that this is totally mine and my wife’s opinion, no one has loaded a gun for me to fire or egged me on in any way. I just feel I need to let people know that it’s not always rosy when dealing with this property company.
Before our trip to Hua Hin, we spent some time looking on the web for a property to buy. After several emails to this particular property company an appointment was made for a Monday. We met with the owner and after discussing our budget we selected five properties for viewing. We left feeling very pleased and looking forward to our Wednesday pick up and viewing. We asked who would be picking us up from our hotel & the owner advised us that she would deal with us personally.
Wednesday pick up time was 10am, 10am came and went, 10.15 came and went, 10.30 came and went, and yes you guessed it, 10.45 came and went. We tried to contact the owner but she was unobtainable by phone and no phone call or message had been left at the hotel reception to explain the no show. Then on Wednesday afternoon we received a fax from the owner confirming an appointment for Thursday at 10am.
To give them the benefit of doubt we decided to meet them again on Thursday. So at 10.00am we waited in the hotel, 10.10am and we were thinking here we go again!! But at 10.15 a gentleman approached us asking if we were waiting to be picked up for viewing property. So some what bemused that being a day late and also the owner not turning up, (who was supposed to be dealing with us personally) we went on our viewing trip.
The gentleman took us to the first of our properties, but even by this early stage it was obvious that he didn’t have our details, didn’t have a full list of properties we wanted to view or even what our budget was. The first property we visited was the only property that we had chosen for viewing with the owner, each time we asked to view some of the other properties we were told ‘it is not available’ or ‘sorry all gone’. In fact it was just a waste of time. Even after telling him our budget he still took us to properties outside our price range. Yet there are still 39 properties advertised on their web site that are within our price range.
I know property agents work on a commission bases. If the commission earned from a property which is worth less then 3 million baht (our budget) is not worth the hassle involved, then why advertise properties at this price, or is it just a ploy to get people into their property shop. Not everyone has 5 million baht plus to spend!! I can only assume that their business is doing so well that the little people are no longer of interest to this particular property company, they seem to have larger fish to fry!! There have never been any follow up phone calls or emails from the owner so it is pretty obvious they had no interest in our business.
Anyway I think that’s enough of a rant for now.
Credit where credit is due, we would like to take this opportunity to thank HHAD for all the info we obtained from this forum before our visit to Hua Hin, and a big big thank you to those members we met who made our holiday so much more enjoyable.
We would also like to thank the team behind HHAD for their hard work in helping us find a property which was not only within our price range but a property we both fell in love with as soon as we walked through the front door, you obviously listened to what we wanted. Regardless of our budget, HHAD gave us time and advice, but at no time did they push us into buying anything. I would have no hesitation in recommending HHAD as a source for property hunting/buying.
Thanks very much.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.
There is definitely a problem with this function. I had the same problem some time ago and then it seemed to fix itself of its own accord. My pm's are currently taking a full day to move from the outbox to sentbox. As long as they go i don't mind but it is frustrating when they never go!Not that it is my field of expertise but I would guess that it is a problem with the set up of individual accounts on server hosting the pm system, rather than anything to do with an individual's pc.
To those of you who have sent me a PM but had no reply, sorry it’s stuck in my outbox. I have made my email available so if you still wish an answer then please email me and I will reply that way.
Thanks to all those who have sent me a PM, it’s amazing how many other people have had problems.

PM's usually stay in the outbox until the receiver has read them. Could this be the case with you?

Thanks for clearing this up, I can see where the confusion comes from. In outlook you write an email and press send. If you are hooked up to the internet it goes directly into your sent fold showing the message has been sent. If your not hooked up then it goes to your outbox and stays there until you hook up and send it, thus showing the message hasn’t been sent.
Maybe it would be easier to understand if the out box on hhad was named sent box and the sent box was renamed received box as the messages don’t show up there until they have been opened and read by the receiver.
I THINK!!!!!!
That’s it I’ve got a headache now.
