Hi HHAD just joined, I have been to HH some 5 times now and my Thai wife and I have had a house built in HH and I have had no problems with the builders. They have done everything I asked for and more. The house has just been complete and we arrive next Monday for a few weeks.
No I am not an Estate Agent
It'll be useful for those of us still to take the plunge to get an honest report about how you find it after you move in, if you experience any problems, even taking into account any new place can have teething problems.
Its just that I recall Diane(?) posting about what they found when they went to move in, I thinker nearer Cha-am - she was pretty upset.
But good luck, others seem to have had nothing but good experiences.

Talk is cheap
Its just the same with everything in life, you get the good and the bad. Before we decided on our house we looked at many developments in HH and several of them we were very disappointed with in terms of build quality. One large development in particular promised a great deal and we nearly bought one but we just had an uneasy feeling about the setup. We went over to look at it again just for interest in August and they had hardly done any work in 6 months, just a few footings so I am glad that we didnt buy there.
We looked over our house in January and only the bathrooms and garden needed completing so I dont think there will be any unpleasant surprises on Monday. We just cant wait to move in !

The move in can take some time to adjust. We bought the shell, and then had to adjust it to our likes and then put the finishing touches in. Some things were quite amuzing and frustrating eg all of the power switches wee in the oppposite walls to where we thought they should be. Nothwithstading that the local tradesmen probably thought we were insane, eventaully everything got changed as we wanted , well more or less. Plumbing and the lack of hot water instalations had to be rectified. A laundry seemed not to be necessary, "why do you want this thing (washing machine) when you can get your wife to wash by hand"? Some of the plumbing looks industrial combined with the asthetics of an LA spaghetti junction. I bought 2 secondhand hot water heaters. One is stilll theere but the other kept blowing the power. Still it is all fondly remembered.
