Asia's first Holiday Inn water park resort opens in Hua Hin

Post by buksida »

Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin has opened its doors on Thailand’s idyllic Gulf coast, becoming the first Holiday Inn water park resort in Asia.

The 300 rooms and suites at Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin range from 39 to 128 square metres in size and include a series of inter-connecting rooms and KidSuites, with special ‘secret’ rooms decked out with bunk beds and play areas. Children aged 12 and under can stay and eat for free, and all guests are offered free in-room wireless Internet access, late check-out and unlimited access to Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Jungle.

When they are not playing in the water park, guests can enjoy cooling daytime refreshments at the Pool Bar, savour delicious dishes at Plamong Restaurant, or enjoy stunning sea views at the stylish Vana Nava Sky Bar, Restaurant & Observation Deck, which is set to become a new landmark for visitors to Hua Hin. Designed by Bangkok-based consultant Ashley Sutton, the mastermind behind some of Asia’s most famous bars, including Maggie Choo’s and Iron Fairies in Bangkok and Ophelia in Hong Kong, this rooftop destination features a dramatic glass-bottomed deck 110 metres above ground, offering some of the most spectacular views of Hua Hin Bay.

And with 950 square metres of flexible event space, including five function rooms and one of Hua Hin’s largest ballrooms, Holiday Inn Vana Nava Hua Hin is also a unique destination for outstanding meetings, impressive incentives and memorable weddings.

Considering the cost of entry into the waterpark it is probably worth considering staying a couple of nights at if you have a family. I have not checked the cost but Holiday Inn's are not usually that expensive.

I just checked the rates and the cheapest one night stay for 2 adults and 1 child in February would be 4005 THB incl tax, so taking into account they normally charge almost 1000 baht for the water park, it’s very reasonable.

Blacky, the hotel told me yesterday that the Sky Bar's scheduled to be open for business on the 24th.
I too am looking forward to a different venue for the occasional scenic slurp, and a convenient location for those of us living south of the town.

MLS, I will see you there :thumb:

Sky Bar will have a soft opening at first and the whole bar should be ready to rock around 15th of January.
