Airbnb website

Anybody use airbnb, an application that links people with a room to let and guests at very reasonable prices. Reminds me of uber for taxis linking people one by one. I used the service in the us, stayed at a litleback-house, behind my hosts house, like a little appt for less than $100 a night.

The wife found our last vacation rental on either airbnb or a similar site and all worked out well. They seem to be pretty popular

Almost always when i got travelling i use airbnb, its a great site but you need to clarify if you are getting the propery to yourself or not. Why not read some blogs from people who've used the serveice...i'll leave a like at the bottom of the page for you. I have noticed tat there isnt a great deal of them though, so why dont you make one yourself if you do decide to use airbnb?? You can get hold of some good wordpress blogs below i believe.

Starting this coming weekend, my wife and I will be staying 6 nights in/around Hua Hin at 3 different places booked through airbnb(2 nights at each location). Sort of a trial run to see if we enjoy staying here for a possible future retirement. Wanted to get the feel of living in a condo complex versus staying in a hotel.

The 3 places are:
1) Summer(by Sansiri) in Khao Takiab - http://www.sansiri.com/condominium/summ ... ation.aspx
2) Wan Vayla(by Land & Houses) in Khao Tao - http://www.lh.co.th/condo/projects/209/ ... #&panel2-3
3) Blue Lagoon in Cha-Am - http://www.bluelagoonhuahin.com/

I wanted to try different areas to feel what the differences are. Will update here with our experiences after we've tried each of them if anyone is interested.

we are actually staying in one right now,4nights Bangkok thonglor. Its a 2 bed 2bath apartment 90sqm fully furnished. Its very nice, and thonglor is a very nice upmarket neighbourhood. It was very easy to book, the owner of condo was very nice and good with advice of where to visit ,eat etc.
I have two young kids and it is much more convenient to have a kitchen and extra space for them to play compared to a hotel room.
Total cost 2700bht a night.
When you book airbnb you have to tick whether you want to book entire house/condo or a room,if you don't you could be sharing with the host hence the name air bnb(bed and breakfast )or another guest, obviously cheaper to book just a room
