5,000 to 65,000 ? I presume you mean 6,500.............

Lots of studio rooms on Soi 88 & 94 for that price I understand.

Best way to find some just take a bike and ride on Soi 86-94. U'll see a lot of guest houses\rooms for rent there. Look around and u'll find find something that u like. Dont look near the beach, prices there would be much higher and u just waste ur time.

I've searched a lot through the ads here and online elsewhere for an apartment or condo and have found nothing less than 3 times that cost. Would an apartment for 5,000 baht have a roof?

Anyone know of anything between Soi/45-80, north of SP Hospital? Might look for something short term when we first move there. Would be around the same range, up to maybe 7,500. Just curious, it wouldn't be terribly important for me to live between those streets or anything.

I'm already in a sardine can in bkk and would very much so not like to be in one (even if temporary) in HH. 25sqm+ would be nice lol.

Will definitely check out 86-94 though

If you want cheaper accommodation, you just need to do a bit of leg work, go into the area and ask around small local bars, restaurants and shops. Most of that type of property is rented out by word of mouth or hand written notices and you won't find them advertised on the internet or through estate agents.

Hi, Robinfun and SaintLouie1981

You should try to go further soi 88, just about 80 meters before turning right up to the Hin Lek Fai viewpoint you'll see the townhouses on your left hand side and just right behind it you will see a new apartment building. I used to go there, they asked for 5,000 baht a month and 6,000 for higher floor (Sea view).

There is fitness room, swimming pool and parking area they are all new.

I didn't rent there because I found pretty cheap townhouse in Mon Mai (Further from Artist Village) it costs me 2,800 baht here, good deal!!

i know this is a old tread but here goes...

any real condo near the ocean will be at least 20,000 and up. I am talking about a real condo, not a apartment. I did find a real dumpy condo for 11,000 in low season. the building was so run down I could not wait to get out of there, no way I would rent it.

the problem with ads on the internet is that they will show you a different condo when you get here. :)

The terminal apartment building on soi 88 is nice. But it is a apartment building. lots of kids in the pool. Very busy place.

I am 100 yards from the ocean in a apartment and my rent is 18,000 plus electric.

there are hundreds of funky rooms and townhouse like things for rent in Hua Hin in the top end of your price range, but you may still be looking at 8500. Best to come here and ride around on a scooter and look for signs and ask around. go up soi 102, 94 and 88 heading west towards the mountains, and look on the all the cross streets.

houses are 10,000 and up… again way from the ocean. i did find a run down old house a for 15,000 in South Hua Hin near the ocean. three months rent up front. during low season.

it will be interesting to see what happens to condo rental rates in the future as 8000 new condo are being built as we speak.
