In my recent trip(TR to follow) I stayed at Jings for 9 days, then Nern Chalet for 3 days then back to Jings for 5 days.
When I go to HH again late January i would like to do similar, Jings, Takiab, Jings but Nern although very nice was 2300 pn, and I would like somewhere for less than 1000.
Beer O clock I feel would be noisy with traffic, I would like somewhere quiet but I accept wherever you are in Takiab you are likely to hear the railroad.
Any suggestions most welcome, TIA
Can you reccommend a quiet hotel in Takiab, Railway excepted
Re: Can you reccommend a quiet hotel in Takiab, Railway exce
There is a selection here with prices and online booking: http://www.khaotakiab.com/khao-takiab-hotels.htm
If you want to check locations most of them are on the Khao Takiab map: http://www.khaotakiab.com/khao-takiab-map.htm

Thanks for the links Lev, unfortunately the guesthouse link is not working but he Chomtawan seems one of the cheapest.
I will probably stay in Takiab mid-week as prices will be lower.

I stayed at chomtawan last year, the rooms were clean and nice, but I believe the walls were made of paper as you could understand when your neighbours were talking,or doing other exercises. At this price range I would recommend the Takiab beach hotel.Nice big rooms, direct acces to the Beach and Taxi services in Front of the Hotel.

Thanks Guys, the Takiab Beach reort hotel looks just the job, prices seem to vary on the internet, maybe a good idea to ring them or pop in nearer the time.
