I would like to say a very speedy recovery to John , who is in hospital in Phetchaburi at this time and is very ill . I look forward to seeing him back at the restaurant very soon.

John has not been too well for the last 6 months and this has affected his business. He is in good hands at Phetchaburi hospital, but he is unfortunately very poorly.

Went to Crawfords today and spoke to John,s wife Janet who told me he is still very ill and had a bad night Wednesday. He is under 24 hour surveillance and having all sorts of tests and scans but he is keeping his sense of humour despite everything.
The thing that really upset me was the fact that the ambulance men somehow managed to drop John and have done damage to his back now.
I passed on best wishes for a full recovery from all who contribute to this forum.
Get well soon mate.

That really is sad news.
I hope these messages get passed on to John.
I'll certainly try to get there to see him asap.

John is a top bloke and is pure entertainment.
i've had many an enjoyable evening listening to his stories - he does like to make a short story long!

Saw John earlier today. He's hopefully on the mend, joking and story telling. He's still not too well but he appreciated the kind words expressed on this thread. He should be in the hospital for at least another week or two.

For obvious reason, Crawfords bar and restaurant (Cha Am) is up for sale on a leasehold or freehold basis. If anyone reading this knows of anyone who would be interested in buying the business, please pm me. Please note, I am not on any commission for this, only trying to help out.

Called in to see John today en route back to Hua Hin. He was in great spirits and is hoping to get home soon. He's been through a real tough spell but he is very determined to fight his illness. It was great to see him so cheery and, yes, his stories were as amusing and as long as ever. Now that I am back from the UK, I will, I am sure along with many others, keep this topic up-dated. Hopefully with more good news but years of having 'one to many' has taken it's toll. A warning to us all!

Didn't realise that there was more than one hospital in Petchaburi so it was a case of third time lucky.

But still had one more hospital to visit as when with John, we received a phone call from Thai Tam's wife to say that he had taken a turn and was being taken to San Paulo. So off we rushed to our fourth hospital of the day. Thankfully Tam was in good spirits and should be out tomorrow. Just too much sun and maybe too much Chang, Tam?

Think time I started the diet............................................................................................................................................................................................... again.
