What ever you do, do not go to Cha Am on a Thai holiday; there are so many people there its unbelievable. You won’t find anywhere to park, there is a traffic jam the length of the beach and all the restaurants are either full or run out of food.
There are so many beach umbrellas interlocked together that you end up sat in the dark, in fact you could see more beach life sat at home with the curtains drawn watching Baywatch!

Hidden Paradise on Cha-am Beach

Post by Annie »

Seems like alot of you (from what I've read) find it a bit difficult finding a decent place to stay at Cha-am.

Well, I've been to this place called Sabaya Jungle Resort that's located towards the South end of the Beach on Nong Jaeng Road. The Thai villas are not yet fully complete, but it's like paradise undiscovered!!!

Lots of trees, a swimming pool, the thing is, although it might be so busy on the beach, but once you're in the grounds, you're in a different place altogether.

Check-it out: - highly recommended for those looking for a really private place.

Always go to Cha-Am for BBQ Prawns by the fishing pier. Much cheaper than Hua Hin.

The best seafood restaurant in Cha Am is Med Sai.
It is at the north end of the beach, just before the fishing village.
