Cha-Am Fresh Market

Post by Big Boy »

I’ve often seen the signpost to this market situated just before Cha-Am traffic lights when travelling North. I was in the area, so thought I’d pop in. Unlike many day markets that I’ve visited in Thailand, this market was fairly modern and clean. A big plus for this market was the ample parking all around.

The goods on sale were much the same as every other day market, but the emphasis on clothes was less.

Compared with Chatchai Market in Hua Hin, it did feel cleaner, and was definitely roomier.

I wasn’t surprised to see the Thais of Cha-Am suffering the same leg disability as the rest of Thailand, necessitating the need to ride their motorcycles through the WALKways.
There are always Thais riding motorcycles in Thai markets.

As Thai markets go, I’d rate this market highly for cleanliness, space and light.

Thanks for posting. I agree. I use it when I have the opportunity. I bring my styrofoam box and usually get a load of ice from one of the stalls to keep things fresh. I also recommend it for it's cleanliness and easy accessability.
