TAT's Phetchaburi office and Kaeng Krachan National Park invite nature-loving tourists to plant trees and make water retention dykes and salt licks for wildlife at Kaeng Krachan National Park, from 8.30am on June 12 - the 31st anniversary of the national park's establishment.
Kaeng Krachan National Park, covering 2,914.70km2, is a major natural resource of Phetchaburi, a watershed of the Pranburi and Phetchaburi rivers, and a habitat of various kinds of wild animals, including elephants and rare freshwater crocodiles and birds like the racket-tailed treeple. It is one of Thailand's most famous bird-watching spots.
After these activities, visitors can visit other attractions in Kaeng Krachan and nearby districts. They can cherish "the sea of mist" at Phanoen Thung scenic lookout point, ride rubber boats in the Phet River, eat freshwater fish dishes during sunset at the Kaeng Krachan Dam, pay respects to the goddess Guan Yin, or learn to build clay houses at Khao Kling Self-Sufficient Economy Centre.

Re: Tree planting at Kaeng Krachan National Park
I just don't get it.
The indigeneous population kill wildlife for money in Kaeng Krachan National Park - especially elephants.
There's been a hoohhaa about that and some sort of action and arrests.
BUT, it's the tourists that Thailand are asking to stump up some money.
Give me a break. Accept some responsibility, Thailand.
