Is that a fact or question?

Fact - Sangthai Seafood nearest to the jetty is no more, demolished and left as a demolition site, numerous other shops are closed and empty.
My only hope is this does not take years to accomplish leaving the place looking a mess as I am sure no redevelopment will be done until they are all cleared.

They should also clear up that fisherman's boat area next to the jetty it is a disgusting rubbish dump when it could be attractive. There is also still not proper access to the jetty after at least a year.

Has anyone any factual information about what is to come in the future.

First restaurant allegedly encroached on beach in Hua Hin dismantled
Saengthai Seafood restaurant was the first among 3-4 restaurants located on the beach along the Naretdamri road in Hua Hin municipality which agreed to move out and to dismantle the buildings by themselves. The rest however refuse to move out and vowed to fight on against the eviction.

Mayor Nopporn Wutthikul said the municipal administration invoked Sections 40 and 42 of the Building Act to order some 40 buildings allegedly encroached on public land to be evicted and dismantled within 45 days since December 20 when the eviction order was served upon them.

Those who refused to move out have petitioned against the municipal’s eviction order to appeal committee of Prachuab Khiri Khan province headed by the governor.

Nopporn said if the appeal committee agreed with the municipal’s decision, the restaurant proprietors can still resort to the Administrative Court for help. If not, then the buildings will have to be demolished, he added.

Besides the restaurants along the Naretdamri road, the Hua Hin district office had lodged complaints with the police against six hotels for allegedly encroaching on public land.

Isn't it amazing that there is more info available from Pattaya than from any official source in Hua Hin. Just the same as with the ferry service.

Yep, Hua Hin doesn't really have any real newspapers, just glossy property and ad rags.

And the local council/municipal office or whatever seems to consider communication with the population unnecessary.

Well if it's public land, then I assume there will be no further development on that land. If development was not a problem, I assume the current occupants could stay.

But I expect they are all being cleared to create a road to the 'new' harbour area. With someone, somewhere of influence, behind these changes.

I thought the only new or expanded harbour was to be at Pranburi to accommodate a possible vehicle ferry.

I think the 'new or expanded harbour' in Hua Hin has been under construction for a long time now.

The English radio station gives local news on the hour as well as the news from the BBC. But I think it's the only up to date source. I heard about the demolition early this morning. The restaurant in question moved out voluntarily and dismantled the building themselves ahead of the deadline.

Where about as I see nothing, there is the new jetty opposite Buffalo Bills plus a jetty at Kho Takiab, where else?

Or this harbor at Kho Takiab

Does anyone know how far this clearing will go ?
As far as Moon Terrace and beyond ?
