Re: Red Bull exec's kid arrested for fatal running over of cop
in other countries ( I know its bad to start a post with those words) a cop-killer's life is unlikely to be a long one, as every cop in the country is out to get them. Is that true here?
Re: Red Bull exec's kid arrested for fatal running over of cop
^^ Obviously not.
Re: Red Bull exec's kid arrested for fatal running over of cop
The person has NOT been arrested and the Title is very misleading.
ADMIN can we start a new thread please which highlights the actual position please?

Re: Red Bull exec's kid arrested for fatal running over of cop
Now I'm confused, I thought he had been arrested as per first post in this thread.
Seems the problem is getting him to appear at
the arranged interviews! Or have I missed something?

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
Re: Red Bull exec's kid arrested for fatal running over of cop
They're currently "seeking" an arrest warrant...
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Hmm, too much mountain dew for you? Read my last post 3 or 4 back.

Re: Red Bull exec's kid arrested for fatal running over of cop
HHF, from what I can see that is a second warrant for failing to appear for questioning
as required by the police and prosecution.
Pet stated in his post that he has never been arrested for the killing of a police officer with his car. I say he was arrested a long time ago
at his fathers house, a few hours after the crash and was released on bail pending further investigations. That initial arrest still stands.
So I'm not sure why Pet is calling for a separate thread on the issue!

Why do they need Interpol, or is this just another face saving exercise? Charge him with murder, try and convict the little **ick in absentenia, THEN ask Interpol to send him back. A photo of him entering a flat in London was posted recently, so he would not be hard to find. Turn up at any F1 event and he will be there.

Police look to Interpol for help finding fugitive heir
http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general ... itive-heir
Interpol will be asked to help locate fugitive Red Bull heir Vorayuth Yoovidhya, who is now subject to an arrest warrant in his 2012 fatal hit-and-run case, if he cannot be tracked down in the Britain.
Investigators have already asked the Foreign Ministry to revoke Mr Vorayuth's passport, after he repeatedly failed to report to answer charges brought against him in the case, in which a motorcycle police officer was dragged to his death after being rammed from behind by a speeding Ferrari.
Pol Col Kritsana Pattanacharoen, deputy spokesman to the Royal Thai Police Office (RTPO), said on Monday that Thai authorities were talking with British authorities about returning Mr Vorayuth to Thailand, following reports that he was staying in the UK.
The deputy police spokesman sought to allay concerns that the extradition of the 32-year-old Red Bull heir would be affected if the man had obtained foreign citizenship. The statute of limitation on the charge of reckless driving causing death did not expire until 2027, he said.
Pol Maj Gen Apichart Suriyunya, commander of the Foreign Affairs Division would discuss the issue of extradition with British authorities in Thailand, Pol Col Kritsana said. If he was not found in the UK, Interpol's Bangkok bureau would be asked to issue a Blue Notice to its 190 member countries.
A Blue Notice seeks assistance in locating, identifying or obtaining information on a person of interest in a criminal investigation. It does not seek his arrest and extradition, which involves a Red Notice.
Pol Col Kritsana confirmed the RTPO was working with the Foreign Ministry to revoke Mr Vorayuth's passport
Mr Vorayuth, also known as "Boss", faces charges of hit-and-run and reckless driving causing death. The arrest warrant has a 15-year life, starting on Sept 3, 2012 with the expiration date Sept 3, 2027.

You would hope that the Bangkok Post would at least use the correct name for the Head of ICPO-INTERPOL Thailand, Pol Maj-Gen Apichat Suriboonya.Nereus wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2017 7:02 pm Why do they need Interpol, or is this just another face saving exercise? These idiots are unbelievable! It is not enough that the rest of the world can see what is going on here, now they blandly admit that he was in Bangkok, while saying his whereabouts is unknown!

Red Bull scion flees Bangkok with 2 days to spare
http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general ... s-to-spare
Red Bull scion Vorayuth Yoovidhya, the suspect in a brutal hit-and-run case in which a police officer was killed, gave authorities the slip once again by leaving Thailand for an unknown destination on April 25, just two days before he was due to answer charges over the 2012 incident.
Legal proceedings to indict the grandson of the late founder of Red Bull have dragged on for five years, hampered by excuses and delays by Mr Vorayuth, also known as "Boss".
He dodged another summons last week, inflaming a public already angered by the lack of progress made on the case and reeling at recent news reports that he had been living a lavish jet-set lifestyle despite the legal proceedings looming over him.
Pol Maj Gen Apichart Suriboonya, chief of the Royal Thai Police's Foreign Affairs Division, said immigration records showed Mr Vorayuth exited the kingdom last Tuesday. His whereabouts remain unknown, he added.
The suspect's lawyer, Thanit Buakhiew, lodged a request on Wednesday to seek an eighth deferral for his client to answer the charges. But the Office of the Attorney-General (OAG) rejected the request and asked police to seek a court warrant for Mr Vorayuth's arrest.
The warrant for Mr Vorayuth's arrest was issued on Friday. (how convenient, issued after he left the country!)
Pol Maj Gen Apichart said the Foreign Affairs Division sent a letter to the UK National Central Bureau for Interpol that same day asking it to confirm whether Mr Vorayuth was in the United Kingdom.
He said the two agencies would meet this week to follow up on the issue as the OAG is keen to initiate an extradition request.
If Mr Vorayuth is not in the UK, Interpol will issue an international alert, known as a Blue Notice, to its 190 member countries to locate, identify or obtain information on the suspect, he said.
Police in Sukhumvit's Thong Lor area -- where the officer was hit and dragged to his death in the early hours of the morning before the suspect allegedly fled the scene -- have forwarded a letter to the Foreign Ministry's Department of Consular Affairs to initiate a process to revoke Mr Vorayuth's passport, said Pol Maj Gen Apichart.
He said this is the first case involving the extradition of a hit-and-run suspect he has seen during 15 years on the force, but that he was confident the man would eventually be brought to justice.
Many outspoken critics have less faith in the outcome of a case they claim highlights the privilege enjoyed by Thailand's wealthy elite, or so-called "hi-so" families. Mr Vorayuth's father is Thailand's fourth-richest billionaire, according to reports.
Deputy police spokesman Krissana Pattanacharoen said Monday that Thong Lor police have taken steps to bring Mr Vorayuth to court, including forwarding the arrest warrant to the Immigration Bureau and the RTP's Foreign Affairs Division. He said the Foreign Ministry's Department of Consular Affairs has also been notified.
He said the probe is not being stalled but has been extended to make sure all involved are questioned thoroughly.
The inquiry centres on the police's handling of the case, which faced heavy criticism after two charges -- speeding and reckless driving causing damage to others' property -- were dropped after their one-year statute of limitations expired.

Re: Red Bull exec's kid arrested for fatal running over of cop
This story is Kafka now.
His passport should have been canceled a long time ago. It's anathema that cop killers are allowed to freely roam around doing whatever they want just because they are rich.
Good example, this is, of how rotten and unequal this society is and it won't find harmony till they do something about some of this sort of stuff.
Nuff said.

Police: Red Bull scion left Singapore
http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general ... -Singapore
Vorayuth "Boss" Yoovidhaya, wanted in a deadly hit-and-run case, left Singapore on April 27, leaving his private jet there, according to police.
Pol Maj Gen Apichart Suribunya, commander of the Foreign Affairs Division in his capacity as head of Thai Interpol, said on Thursday that Vorayuth’s private jet was found left in Singapore. Interpol alerted Thai authorities that Mr Vorayuth left the country on April 27. So far, there have been no clues about his whereabouts.
The Royal Thai Police Office will coordinate with Interpol to issue a Blue Notice to locate the whereabouts of the 32-year-old Red Bull kin.
Interpol will be asked to locate the hit-and-run suspect, said Pol Maj Gen Apichart.
On April 28, the Criminal Court approved the request for an arrest warrant made by Thong Lor police after Mr Vorayuth asked to reschedule a meeting with prosecutors for the eighth time on the previous day. Mr Vorayuth faces charges of hit-and-run and reckless driving causing death.
On Sept 3, 2012, Mr Vorayuth crashed his Ferrari into the rear of a motorcycle ridden by Pol Sen Sgt Maj Wichean Klanprasert, chief of a patrol unit at Thong Lor police station, about 5.30am on Sukhumvit Road near Soi 47.
He subsequently fled to his house on Soi Sukhumvit 53 and stayed there for hours before coming out to surrender to police. He was later released on bail. The policeman died at the scene.

Interpol in Europe looking for a cop killer. Now we are talking business
Re: Red Bull exec's kid arrested for fatal running over of cop
I doubt very much that this will make the slightest difference, unless he tries to enter Thailand.

Vorayuth's passport revoked, but location unknown
The Foreign Ministry on Friday revoked the passport of Vorayuth "Boss" Yoovidhya as authorities continue to seek his arrest in a five-year-old fatal hit-and-run case.
The 32-year-old heir to a family fortune built on Red Bull energy drinks left Thailand for Singapore on April 25, two days before he had been ordered to report to prosecutors to be formally charged in court. It was the eighth time he has missed a summons since legal proceedings began.
However, he left Singapore on April 27 after abandoning his private jet there and police say they do not know where he went. (and why would he do that?)
