They're lying aren't they and everyone knows it. Think of the data they have via flight records - name, passport details, how the ticket was purchased, card, cash etc and from whom and when, luggage records, destination, any connecting flights and so on.

They really treat the Thai public with contempt. They had no difficulty tracking Thaksins movements, nor any of those in exile that they want returned.

He would still need to go through passport control.

Yes, but he left Singapore probably by regular airline, so you need a ticket, boarding card and passport check.

Seems a 'Red Notice' has been issued to Interpol. That is a 'find and arrest' notice. Let's see what happens.

Not on the current red notice list. Perhaps it's not been updated yet. Interpol red list Thais. And why would he be on the list anyway? The earlier reports were that the Thai "police" had requested only a blue notice and Interpol wouldn't issue a red notice unless requested.

Just reporting what I read on the link.
Thai police spokesman Colonel Krissana Pattanachareon said his department has been notified by the international police network that they have issued a “Red Notice” – a worldwide request to find and arrest an individual pending their extradition.

“We have been informed that Interpol has issued a Red Notice on the Red Bull heir, and we now have to wait to see what kind of responses we get from member countries,” Mr Krissana said.

I realise that. But we don't have to believe it if we can check for ourselves.

The thing that many people forget with this case is that the Thai authorities actually don't want to arrest him [Red Bull POS] and any chance to not do so or delay is going to happen. Look how fast they issue arrest warrants for others like the errant monk in the US or even how quickly they are proposing to do so for Yingluk, no lost in translation delay there regarding the form haha...all smells of complete BS.

The following was taken from the Interpol red notice page

Can I look up a Red Notice?
While most Red Notices are restricted to law enforcement use only, some member countries choose to make an extract publicly available. This includes information such as the individual’s name and the criminal charges for which they are wanted. The full Red Notice contains additional information for law enforcement purposes only.

This indicates that a Red notice might have been circulated but not published on the Interpol site

Interpol posts fugitive Red Bull scion 'wanted' notice

http://www.bangkokpost.com/news/general ... recent_box

Interpol has posted its red notice for Vorayuth Yoovidhya online publicly, informing the world the scion to the Red Bull energy drink fortune is wanted in Thailand for reckless driving causing the death of a policeman five years ago.

The international police network made the "red notice'' for Mr Vorayuth viewable to the public on Monday. Law enforcement officials have been able to access the listing since last month.

Interpol says a red notice is a request to police forces around the world "to locate and provisionally arrest an individual, pending extradition''.

Amazing that the authorities have not confiscated his assets already. Maybe daddy told them not to do it.
