English not a nationality? You really must be well away with the fairies? :rasta:
Welsh and Scottish are also nationalities before together in a Union, they are British.

Jonjar did it again. What is he taking?

Of course, English, Scottish, Welsh and Irish are nationalities!

I'd like to think that Yorkshire is but I'll have to settle for being English.

I from South Africa so voted Other.

What always baffles me is that so many Thais simply cannot grasp the fact that Africa consists on many different countries. Many local actually believe Africa is a very big country, so when I say I come from South Africa, they simply believe I stay in the south of the country. And, of course I usually get questioned about the color of my skin because you only get black people in Africa. :D

:D And it's even more complicated than that. I remember the rugby matches that were commentated half in English and half in Afrikaans (do they still do that?)

But try: England/United Kingdom (of Britain and Northern Ireland)/Great Britain/British Isles.

I'm norwegian.... have been living in Hua Hin for 14 years, married with a thai, but don't speak the language. I have tried to learn the local lingo, but when you've passed 70 the harddisc is full. Still have a good life here.

pharvey ...Your tone seems to be a bit angry, especially with the "curse word you typed" in at the end of your post. You need to chill out, the original question on forum was "What Nationality Are You"It had a tick box British only,it did not have tick boxes for England , Wales ,Scotland or N.Ireland.

"The United Kingdom (in full, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland) is made up of four constituent countries or nations, also called the Home Nations:

England,Northern Ireland,Scotland and Wales Under British law, these four countries are an equal union, sharing a common British citizenship. The term "Britain" here means "the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". A UK passport describes its holder as a "British citizen"...From the web

Jonjar, you still don't seem to accept that each of the four countries have their own identity and nationality.

When you are wrong, admit it! No big deal.

I don't remember ever meeting someone from the UK who said they were from Great Britain. Always English/British, Welsh, Irish, or Scottish.
