Addressed to the silent Aussies of our Forum:

G'day mates, :)

I had not anticipated that some, most?, all of you?, might take offence
at the fact that these videos poking fun at Aussies are presented
by Indians of all people. :o

One Aussie definitely did as he told me to rack off.

No offence intended.
I sincerely hope that most of you have preserved a healthy sense of humour.

If any Aussie should be in doubt as to my stance on illegal migrants
or the immigration of muslims in particular, :guns: I can assure you that I fully support
the policy of the present Australian government! :thumb:

The attachments should make my attitude clear in case anyone should still
have doubts.
I could easily have posted heaps of similar poster messages!

No ockers in Thailand? :o

I doubt it! Perhaps they are too lazy or just don't fancy teaching
foreigners their secret lingo? :?

So I'll have to post some info for interested forum members: :thumb:

this thread seems to have died like my ill-fated music thread.
Wonder if I can revive it.

I have finally ditched my illusional dream of ever learning Japanese, in this life anyway!
It's a 24/7 enterprise. No more time for Facebook or anything else.
Also you have to live in Japan for some time and/or should be married to a Japanese.

Instead, I hope to learn some Thai, and concentrate on improving my strine.
As a non-ozzy you do have to learn Aussie slang.
Not even a genius like Einstein could guess that "the dogs are barking" can also
mean "my feet are sore, hurting or tired". :o

Hope to have drawn the attention of some ockers to this thread. :)

Oorah, :D

OK, I'll bite but I had to ask an old mate - a lot of the rhyming slang is dying out in Aus.

My dogs are barking

Dogs meat = Feet

My feet are barking?

Barking (Mad ) = bad

My feet are bad.

There is a brand of shoe we see occasionally "Hush Puppies" could be a link?

I have not seen those educational videos - thanks for sharing. Some years ago when the company I worked for set up call centres in India, we had the operators watch a movie called "The Castle" for a bit of culture and pronunciation - if you have a spare couple of hours it's worth a look.
