This is not about the story (http://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-32890312), but the headline.
Maybe it's just not enough sleep and a slightly macabre sense of humour, but "Plane hits mountain" is major, if tragic, news. "Plane misses mountain" just makes me wonder why they were aiming for it in the first place!

While avoiding storm clouds, the plane came close to hitting the 4,040-metre (13,254 feet) Mount Cameroon.
An initial incident report published by BEA said an automated warning, saying "Pull up", was activated. The plane then ascended quickly from 9,000ft (2,743m) to 13,000ft (3,962m) to avoid a crashing.
Anyone see the "scratch head in confusion" information? Plus the pish poor grammar...Shame on you BBC
