Kebab place at big C food court, Pala-U road

Post by migrant »

Went there friday night wanting to try the lamb that was mentioned in a post. Very nice ladies running the place, but out of lamb. I got a chicken one, very tasty. Until 4 hours after when I started getting a massive gut pain. Ended up feeding the great porcelain god for 24 hours straight, and just now feeling better.

I've had food poisoning before, and sure I will have again, but thought I would mention it.

That's what happens at food shops who do not use refrigerators to keep produce cool or soap for washing, it comes with staying in Ting Tong Land.
I hope you are recovered.

Well, not only in Thailand - can be anywhere in the world where a food stall doesn't have sanitary arrangements in place. A hefty dose of hepatis A came from my staying in the UK and eating a kebab there...

True it is not only here but I think the risk is far higher here than most places.

One other issue with places like the Kebab shop is they just don't do enough turnover so the food sits sometimes for hours, this can't be good.

That probably is what happened. Seemed very slow that evening. Finally the stomach has evened out!
