Does anyone know of any Chinese restaurants in HH or nearby ( apart from the White Lotus )
These restaurants used to be the most popular back in the UK until Indian food took over.
I miss sweet & sour chicken ( hong kong style ) chicken chow mein, roast duck & orange sauce etc
Ok i am not sure if these dishes are authentic Chinese , but they taste really good
Thanks for any heads up

Can't help with the restaurants in HH - personally I've never found (or particularly looked hard for) any Chinese or Cantonese restaurants. The dishes you mention are Cantonese rather than Chinese.

Beijing style is of course southern food, if you live in Harbin.

The name Canton gives it away a little..... It's the Guangzhou region of (South) China - just across the water from Hong Kong.
Indeed you are correct BG - big, big differences with regards to Sichuan, Huan etc. "Cantonese" however is not classed as Chinese by many Chinese - including the LHG.... and who am I to argue??!!

There's a Chinese place now in Soi 94 (it was switching back and forth between Japanese and Chinese for a while, it was hilarious, but I think they decided to stick with Chinese). I never tried it.
Go west on 94 to the T junction, take a right, immediately followed by a left into a smaller road (=Soi 94 continued), go on for 50 meters and it will be to your right (https://goo.gl/maps/clLwW).
