I'm sure that's true, and if eating lunch is a necessary function to be completed asap in the staff canteen, then it's probably a very good place to go.

Thank you d-t for your observation. You are correct, the food in the executive dining room of my company is excellent.

Took a drive out to Kao Talok (coast-road South of Pak Nam Pran)..with the intention of eating at either the steak/rib restaurant or just a bit farther-on from them at Fahitas..well the steak/rib place was a building-site inside, & the mexican 'Fahitas' although still having the large sign outside is now 'Family Bar' & the bumbling staff looked at me stoopid when I inquired about mexican food..so if anyone is planning a afternoon drive down there (as I did)..both these places are off the menu.

Fajitas has been relocated to Dolphin Bay and is now known as Al Frescos Resort. It can be reached by turning left off main road to DB at wat Khao Noi and is located approximately 300 metres from the beach on your right hand side opposite a Roman/Greek "folly" on the left side of the road. Menu is fairly consistent with that at original Fajitas.

A Swedish friend of mine said today that he was looking for a little restaurant run by a Swedish guy called Kag (Kaj?) and his Thai wife in northern HH. I remember reading about a place in soi 5 or 6 that was, I think, in some Swedish bloke's garden.

Can anyone shed any light?

At last................................

The plot of land over from Sports Lounge (forget new name), Check in and Linda's on soi 80 is to be a new restaurant and will be called something like 'Coconut Tree Restaurant.

The place has been either a failure as a bar or just a pile of rubble for many years now.

Met the owner (funder) today and he is a young guy from the Netherlands with lot's of ambition. Only been here for a couple of years so may yet not know the hoops he has yet to jump through

Cuisine? mid price range European and Thai food is his target

Completion? ASAP but many of you know Thai elastic stretches a long way so don't hold your breath

Admin He is keen to spread the word so I told him about the forum (and logged him on) and it's advertising facilities so he may well be in contact soon

People keep using this this thread for restaurant reviews. That is not this thread's purpose. The thread is for news such as restaurant openings or closures.

Don't really think that Richard was reviewing a Restaurant. How can he?, the place isn't even open yet.
