Soi 94 - More changes

Post by Pagey »

More changes on Soi 94 from 1st June. The Italian who had Lucianos opposite the old Oy has taken over Bar Tender further up Soi 94. I don't know if he will keep as a bar or a new restaurant ??

Roy from Bar Tender has taken over the premises next door to BT which has a small noodle stall out front. I understand the noodle stall will stay and behind that Roy has a beer garden with Salas, although I haven't seen it yet. He will make it a Thai and Farang food restaurant. His excellent fish & chips, cornish nasties, English brekkie etc are still currently available (hurrah) and he will be expanding his menu incl Thai food over the coming months.

Approx half way between the old Oy and BT is a new small Italian called Olivos. Looks nice and cosy with a nice menu but with main courses around 400 Baht maybe a tad pricey for that area.

The Japanese restaurant, I am glad to say, remains at the same place.
Good food, good value.

They are expanding their restaurant to the land adjacent.

A huge corner lot next to Japanese Restaurant (which has expanded but only about 4 extra tables) has been cleared and leveled-- two big empty lots across from each other.

It's closed for a while now J, while they move next door and their old place becomes an Italian. Haven't seen any activity yet, but will post as I do. Go past there at least half a dozen times a day :D

7/11 have leased some of the land next to the Japanese and plan to open in October. They have also leased the land opposite (old Oy's) to make sure the opposition do not open there, to start with it is going to be used as a carpark.

BT is closed until the new Italian owner re opens it in his style whether that be a bar or restaurant.

Roy, the previous owner of BT has opened a restaurant in the premises next door with fish & chips........I'm getting deja vu here.............. :banghead:
