Go for the Fuji E550. Excellent and under $200 US.
When are you going to send me the pics?
Sorry people forget that, I got pounds and USD mixed up. Also USD has risen against the Thai Baht since got my camera.
$270 USD is cheap.
Best as always to check reviews and exchange rates on the day of purchase.
Seems that the HP that mentioned has been withdrawn explaing why is was being cheap here in Hua Hin. Also Idid not know that it was such a hassle getting service. What I did discover is that ther web site is shit. Surprising from a company that claims to be the world's number one supplier of web servers.

After 14 years in IT I have my reasons for hating them, and now they're making cameras ... Buddha help us.
Their website is harder to navigate than the Amazon rainforest without a GPS, their service is appalling and their products are over priced, under spec, brand named shite ... in my humble opinion.

Glad you think I am an expert in something. I know little(relatively) about cameras really. I have looked at those two and they seem OK and cheap. I bought the Fuji for two reasons. 1. It was recommended by a professional photographer friend of mine. 2. It cameupnumber two in the ratings of this site.
