I have a villa in HH which I use as a holiday home. I visit a couple of times a year and also have family and friends using it during the year.
After about 10 years think it's time to think about putting Tv into my house. I don't want to take out a contract with any of the cable companies and I don't currently have a telephone landline.
I was thinking of getting a mifi device with an internet Sim which will give me wifi at my house. I was also thinking if getting a UK Now tv box or Amazon firestick or something similar to plug into a TV to allow me to pick up UK television.
Will this work as plug and play or is it more complicated than that? Having wifi at the house is also important as I think this is something my guests will appreciate.
Or ....... is there a better solution.
Mifi, Now Tv or Amazon firestick
Re: Mifi, Now Tv or Amazon firestick
Without recommending a particular solution you really need a cabled internet connection of you want to use it for TV. Using 3G or 4G for TV will soon use up the gigabytes. You don't need a telephone landline for wired internet, the ISP you choose will run the cable required.
