Hi all
Wonder if you can assist. What is best mobile package? Pay as you go and add on internet or subscribe to a monthly plan for calls and internet?
What works best, which mobile company is best? How much would it all cost?
Thanks in advance

Re: Best mobile sim package
I've found True to be pretty good. No issues with 3G no matter where I am in Thailand.
Wish I could say the same for my U.K. provider.....
Cost vary but around 500thb+ depends how much data you pan on using.

I would beg to differ GN, my wife always loses her True signal when in Isaan.
My AIS 1-2-Call service hasn't let me down, and costs 399Baht with 1Gb high speed and unlimited normal speed Internet.

Mrs B is also on True and the signal drops a lot more than AIS which I have.

OK so AIS seems it. Is it best to do pay as you go or sign up for a monthly plan?
Thanks everyone.

Mine is a 1-2-Call, top up as I go - can do it online pretty easily.

Re: Best mobile sim package
I live in Korat. We have a DTAC family package which costs 1000 baht a month and gives each of us (three people) vast quantities of talk and SMS time and 1 GB of high speed data and unlimited low speed data. An extra 1GB of high speed data costs 49 baht.
Coverage seems fine. The only place where we reliably lose signal is in and around the McDonald's in Wang Noi and up around Bua Yai. I cycled 40K this weekend out in the middle of nowhere (rice fields and small villages) and had 4G throughout. I was astounded. FWIW, coverage is good, but not great out in the Similan and Surin Islands.
