No, if you go back to the beginning of the thread, you will see a comment from buksida asking if the ISP provider was True. I had been contacting him directly about the problem. Mine was unusable for about a day, so I went away to the jungle for a few days.

All fine now.

If you had TRUE problems BB that could be some proof the problems are not related to any 'gateway' issues, as TRUE I read somewhere is not participating in any tests. Pete

All TOT customers throughout Southern Thailand, including Phuket, suffered a major internet slowdown yesterday (Sept 29) after a lone fibre-optic exchange server failed in Songkhla.

DOS attacks happening now.

Apparent DDoS attack has spread to other #Thailand gov't web sites. [Admin edit: hashtags removed, these are exactly the things they're scanning and filtering for.]

True online has been off all day, recorded message from their helpline said it would be back up at 4.00pm, I left work at 6.30pm and it was still down. At home now and using 3BB and all is well.

I was using True until I went out at 10.30 am and been using it since I got back about 2 pm without any problems. Must be a localised problem

I've been having problems with the site loading for a few days now. I have the site bookmarked to go straight to 'new posts'. I use Firefox and always have quite a few tabs constantly open. Everything I have open refreshes either automatically or as I manually refresh........... except for the HHF page which can take sometimes 15 minutes to re-load the page. I am using 3BB with their 15MB package and in the main am reasonably happy with it.
A strange thing in this is that as soon as I turn on the VPN (hola) it loads instantly................any ideas as to why.

3BB are notorious for DNS cache issues - it is your provider.

HHF has been moved to a new server and is a lot faster than it used to be.

Thanks buks, strange as it may seem, it's only been happening since the new server was deployed. I'll call 3BB tomorrow and throw a few f's at them lol.

I'm on TOT and this site has been notably faster since the transfer.
