From win 98 to present, I can't think of one time that my computer has been messed up by an update....I guess I've been lucky.
I always use a genuine OS, but do use hacked apps....autocad/studio max/photoshop...but try to keep those to a minimum....yours confused.
You are an individual, I've probably worked on thousands of different computers over the last 25 years, updates screw them up on occasion. Here is some light reading if you're still confused ...

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

What BS! Is there any further reason not to use a different ops system? It seems they are intent on putting themselves out of business on the personal PC front. :banghead: Pete

From the article..
but Microsoft did offer one olive branch: it will continue to provide cut-off Windows 10 PCs with security updates until January 2023
I doubt anybody with said unsupported hardware is likely to still be using it in 6 years time, so it's a bit of a non-issue, really. If Windows 10 is really supposed to be the 'final' version of Windows then it can't continue to support everything forever.
