I assume that when I reloaded the OS, it loaded the latest version from itunes. I seem to remember that it said so, on the download blurb.
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

^^ you could be right. However the latest updated version is huge. I was able to update my iPad (lots of free space) but my iPhone 5s would not accept the latest update as there was not enough available memory. It's worth checking in settings which version you are running.

Just checked Dannie and I have latest OS as you have posted.Dannie Boy wrote:The latest version is iOS 8.0.2
I remember when downloading, it took about 2 hours.
No problems about space, as he only plays games on it and that's about it.
Apart from his penchant for taking pictures of anything and everything, which I delete when he is asleep.
I can only think of one other fix to cure the problem, swear at it.

Unfortunately, the days of swearing and hitting the side of the appliance to get it working again have long gone.Khundon1975 wrote:Just checked Dannie and I have latest OS as you have posted.Dannie Boy wrote:The latest version is iOS 8.0.2

I thought so as well, but I did try it (plus reloading the OS for a 3rd time!) and guess what, it now works a treat.
Mind you, the air was blue for quite some time.
Cheers guys.

Had a problem with Facebook today that I think was because although I had updated it from the apps centre I had not opened it from there. Facebook would not open properly until I opened it from the app centre. Fortunately it is the wife's iPad and I remain firmly a fan of my netbook running windows or Linux Mint which I am much more familiar with.
