Uploading photos to accompany topics on here..??

One of you will no doubt point me in the right direction..I hope.
I'm trying to put some photos on here..cannot find any info on how to do this..??
Found the section for attaching files..mmm? will try this..yup, can get it trying to upload a photo, then after about 2 full mins I get the message..
' the image file you tried to attach is invalid' WHAT? (It's only a pic of a steam train for god's sake).
Wot am I doing wrong here?

Worked OK for me a few minutes ago in the caption competition. It was jpeg, maybe you are trying to upload an odd format?

In a nutshell: use full editor, ignore Img, scroll down to...

1. Browse
2. select the photo you want to upload
3. click on 'Add the file'
4. when the file has finished uploading click on 'place in line'
5. click on preview to check that all is well

Having trouble uploading a photo at the meoment - the process goes on forever and then the connection times out.
Is it the forum or my internet speed?

Are you sure that your photo is not a humongous size?
