How about you guys create a small collection of HHAD avatars that can be downloaded for free from the site or used by people on the forum as a post sign under their name. There's room for a box under the search function.
With everything(software) that's available along with the computer smarts you've got at HQ, should be easy.
There are a few reason why this might be a benefit, such as:
1. Some on the forum may like to use an 'in house' avatar.
2. Downloaded avatars could be used 'all over the show' or passed on to unimaginable places reaching many more potential people.
3. All advertising is OK as you might reach so many that you wouldn't normally reach.
4. It's new and progressive, good image to give off. Things always change/morph/re-invent etc etc etc, sure you know what I mean.
5. It would be inexpensive to put together. Max exposure for the minimal effort, perfect.
There are other points aswell but I won't waffle on. I don't know what HQ's slant on this is or if there are any laws/constrictions(Wherever the come from or from whoever).
So long as it said HHAD on it, then cool, sure many would download them and pass them on. Free advertising for the forum. If it said forum on it the it would turn up on Google when someone tapped in 'Forum Avatars'. Even if they didn't use it they would at least hear the HHAD name.
Even members could suggest designs to Lev or Mods or have a sticky thread to comment on them. The possibilities are endless.
I might be wrong but I think it could only be beneficial to you/us/all.
You might think I'm crazy and I'm sure this has been thought of before, so let me know if it has.
